Spring Vacation

I went to Destin Florida for some Dutty Rock, fun, and sun.

Doug, Nick and I went for a quick fishing trip one morning and caught enough fish to stuff us for the rest of the trip.

This is actually a photo of a baby dolphin and its mother
But, then the bait I was getting ready to cast in my other hand flew in front of the lens as I snapped the shot--
still, look at the baby  :)

Heading further north, I went home to Tennessee and goofed around with Family and friends.  I also met my nephew Bo for the first time and went to his dedication service with my whole family.  That was also on Mom's birthday, so we had a nice get together at the Jones' house.  I hadn't seen my aunt Frances, cousins Diana and Mark, and my second cousin Jen in ages so it was a great time.

A few weeks before I came home, James began to work on my restoring my "King of the Hill" 1990 ZR-1 Corvette.  I have owned it since they rolled it off the truck on July 23, 1990.  Having driven it all over the country back in the early 1990's, I left it garaged while I lived in Park City.  With a new paint job like from the factory, and a hodgepodge of random parts:  hoses, gaskets, wires, coils, and ONE CUSTOM CRAFTED BY MY LITTLE BROTHER exhaust system later, I started taking it on small day trips here and there around Tennessee.  That was a great way to get to know the old friend I had in that car, and a great way to see my home state again.  I have to admit I was lucky that it never broke down and left me stranded (LIKE IT DID IN TEXAS YEARS AGO, but that is another story  ;)  Now the car needs more TLC and a new stereo and lots of TLC.  Oh yeah, I already said that.

Here are some pictures of the car along its "road to recovery."
I soon will have plenty of photos of this bad boy, my "Exotic Rocket" soon, all over the wonderful Western USA.

These photos were all taken in June, 2003.
